What changed on 13 October 2026
- New table: "Items Stored in Your Browser" lists every item this website stores on your device, with its purpose, when it is set and how long it stays.
- New item: the CV Builder can keep a draft of your CV in your browser. It is not sent to Residency and Global Advisory Bureau until you register to download your CV.
- Updated: the Cookie Categories and Third-Party Requests tables, and the names of the pages that connect to Residency and Global Advisory Bureau's backend. There are still no analytics or advertising trackers.
This page lists, honestly and specifically, what cookies and similar browser-storage technologies rgabureau.com actually uses — not a generic list of things a typical website might use. We checked our own website's code to write this.
What Are Cookies & Similar Technologies
Cookies are small text files a website can ask your browser to store. "Local storage" and "session storage" are similar browser-based storage mechanisms. Any of these can be used to remember something between visits (like a preference) or, in other cases, to track browsing behavior.
What This Website Actually Uses Today
As of the date above, this website does not use:
- Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager
- Meta/Facebook Pixel or TikTok Pixel
- Microsoft Clarity or Hotjar
- Any advertising or retargeting script
- Any embedded YouTube, Vimeo, or Google Maps widget
- Any chat widget
This website does use:
- One strictly-necessary browser storage record to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner (see "Managing Your Preferences" below).
- On the CV Builder page only, one browser storage record that keeps a draft of your CV on your own device, so you can continue later.
- Google Fonts, loaded directly from Google's servers, for page typography.
- On the Eligibility Assessment, Counselor Verification and Knowledge Centre pages, a connection to Residency and Global Advisory Bureau's own Supabase backend so those specific, real features can function. The CV Builder and the assessment-result check make their requests to the same backend directly. This is Residency and Global Advisory Bureau's own data request, not third-party advertising or analytics tracking, though it is technically a request to infrastructure outside Residency and Global Advisory Bureau.
- On the CV Builder page, when you choose a file to upload, the code that reads a Word or PDF file is fetched from Residency and Global Advisory Bureau's own server. The file itself is read inside your browser and is not uploaded.
This website sets no cookies of its own and does not write anything to session storage.

If your browser blocks storage, both features still work, but the banner may appear again and a draft will not be kept.

Managing Your Preferences
When you first visit, a banner lets you Accept All, Reject Non-Essential, or Manage Preferences (with an Analytics toggle, off by default). You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer.
If This Changes
If Residency and Global Advisory Bureau adds an analytics tool or any other non-essential tracking in the future, this policy and the cookie banner will be updated first, and it will only begin running for visitors who have actively opted in.
